Free Consultation Sessions (15 minutes) are available at all venues for people who express anxiety regarding hypnosis and would like to briefly discuss their needs, and/or experience the state of hypnotic trance prior to arranging treatment.
The approximate number of sessions required for your condition varies according to personal needs and response to treatment. An idea of the likely number of sessions needed will be provided on initial contact or during the first session.
Initial session. This lasts for approximately 1.5 hours and includes a discussion of your history, needs and goals, followed by the first treatment. It also allows time for
us to begin building a trusting rapport, so that you feel comfortable to discuss any concerns you may have. If you wish to have a partner, family member or friend with you for support, please do so.
The first treatment you receive will be based upon the information that you have discussed and Sarah’s experience as a therapist. Following a therapeutic breathing exercise that helps you to relax, suggestion is used to guide you into the trance state, however YOU always have control. Sarah uses a wide variety of treatment methods including regression, where appropriate. During regression you are guided back gently through the years to ascertain the cause(s) of your difficulties.
Self-hypnosis is taught to most patients, during the course of treatment, as this promotes relaxation and self-belief. The patient can use this method throughout life
to feel more in control. Positive suggestions from treatment sessions can be
reiterated and new ideas added.
Generally, smokers need one session only.
Subsequent sessions are one hour in length and begin with brief feedback on any changes and progress observed.
Once it has been decided between you and Sarah that your goals have been met, Sarah will contact you 2 to 3 weeks later by phone, for feedback on your progress. This provides you with an opportunity to discuss how are you are feeling and to
decide whether or not further sessions would be beneficial.
